A Totally Digital Page

I am not a digital scrapbooker. But occasionally
it is fun to make one. My knowledge with the
Photoshop Elements are limited to cropping
so I was delighted to find a Photoshop for
Dummies in the library for sale for $1. And it
is brand new. I quickly devoured the book and
learned a lot in a very short time. So I want to
share this digital page made from scratch by me.
The very last picture is a free digital paper paper
by Jessica Sprague that I downloaded from
the Creating Keepsakes website. Here's the link..
This is not what I used but the papers are beautiful.

Tote-ally Cool Tote

I am a BAG LADY. The bigger, the better. So I cannot contain my excitement when I was enabled by the nicest folks at 2peas about this. I went first thing this morning at Tuesday Morning. I am so happy to find 5 of them. It comes in different colors. I would have love to have the pink with green dots that was in the picture of their ad but it's not available. They have black (my 2nd choice), red, blue camouflage and I forgot the other color. But I love the pink color the most. Now, I finally have a bag to put all my scrapbook mags, layout notebook, my organizer and camera. I love to bring these things everywhere I go, most especially while waiting for my kids during their activities. Oh, there's also huge pockets inside and outside where I can put my water bottle. By the way, inside the bag are full of Heidi Swapp goodies which is normally $1.99 each at Archivers. But all this including the tote is $19.99. I am a happy happy girl.

Organizing Albums

I've always wanted to have a collection of albums and put them in one place. Since most of my albums are 12 x 12 and very heavy, most bookcases cannot accomodate my needs. One of my bookcase actually collapse with just 6 albums. So I am thrilled when I found out that Ikea's Expedit bookcase can fit my albums. It is very sturdy and it is bolted to the wall. Plus the price is right. Some of my albums are sorted by colors except for the International travel, Christmas, Disney and Religious. I pick what is cute for that. Those black albums are my chronological ones. Baby albums in pink and light pink for my 2 girls, school albums in yellow and green. US Travel in brown and mini albums. Red album is for me and blue for my husband which is in his office. I have some of the old magnetic ones (white albums) that I really should take the pictures out. But they're acid free so for now they're there waiting to be scrap. My new pics are now stored in the external hard drive and cds. Ever since I have this bookcase, my kids and husband love to sit down in the loft and look at their pictures. My scraproom is right beside it too. Needless to say, this gives me LOTS of happiness.

Putting memorabilias in Scrapbook Pages

I love to put the memorabilias I collected from travelling. Most are tickets, receipts, brochures, etc. So here's a few examples of how I incorporated mine in the scrapbook.

This clear scrapbook envelope is from Hobby Lobby and it already has an adhesive in the back.

This pocket is from Lisa Bearnson's KOTM. The kit came with different sizes but it's sold out now.
However, you can easily create it.

I made this pocket envelope.

Since most museums don't allow taking pictures and plus it doesn't come out good anyway, now I just buy postcards. This is an example of how I used it.

For other big stuff you can create a pocket that can open up. You can even put a pic in the front of the pocket page. Here, I don't want to throw the seaworld map so I just tuck this under. The 2 tickets I used to embellish the page.
